Taking payments
Clover or Authorize.net, your own merchant account, and who can take what.
ResPilot connects to your own merchant account. It is not a payment processor, and it does not take a cut of your card payments.
Two payment gateways, your choice
- Clover is the recommended one. You connect it securely with a sign-in to your own Clover account, and ResPilot works with Clover countertop hardware, including the Clover Mini and tap-to-pay, for payments in person.
- Authorize.net is a strong choice for online and recurring payments. ResPilot stores payment methods through Authorize.net's own secure vault, supports autopay, and has a guided setup with a one-click connection test.
Whichever you choose, you agree your processing rates directly with that provider. ResPilot charges no per-reservation transaction fee.
What your staff can accept
You choose which payment methods your staff may record: card, cash, check, ACH, account balance or other. Staff can use only what you switch on, and a disabled method is refused, not just hidden. Every payment records the method and who took it, in a full ledger.
Guests who pay online always pay by card.
